I caught your interview on RT.com and I concur with your viewpoint that lawmakers need to read the bills that are introduced.
An idea that I’ve had that you might want to consider is that we break laws into 250 work segments; basically line items, and make them pass them one line at a time.
Related lines can be coded and numbered in order and voters would be able to search a database by the name of their reps and senators to see how they voted.
In addition, the overall length or number of lines of a whole bill should be limited, unless the congress and senate agree that the issue is too complex to fit within a 20-30-50 line limit, and then they would have to vote a 10-line extension by 2/3 vote in each house.
Once we get that structure in place, then we can repeal EVERYTHING back to the constitution including the Bill of Rights to make it conform to the structure.
I would love to hear a discussion on those ideas.
